WORLD CHAMPIONS & STAR JURY ARRIVE FOR SOFIA OPEN DANCE FESTIVAL

The International Dance Festival’s fifth edition from 26-27.10.2019

The fifth edition of the SOFIA OPEN DANCE FESTIVAL International Dance Festival - "The Art of the Ballroom Dancing" will take place on 26-27.10.2019 in EFE Hall, Hotel "Marinela", Sofia. Special guests at the festival are the 10-time world champion ballroom Dancers - Arūnas Bižokas and Katusha Demidova (USA), who will have their own professional dance show during the gala evening on October 26th.

Festival guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful dance performances of some of the best dance pairs in Latin American and European ballroom dancing competitions from different European countries - England, Germany, Italy, Israel, Poland, Malta, Greece, Romania, Russia, Bulgaria and others. They will compete for the WDC AL Sofia Open Latin & Ballroom Championships in the categories: children, adolescents, youths, adults and seniors. World-renowned judges, whose participation further testifies to the high class of the event. The star jury is composed of Barbara McCall, Maurizio Vesko, Andrey Skufka and Warren Boys. They, together with the champions - Arūnas Bižokas and Ketusha Demidova, will hold an International Workshop on Standard and Latin-American Ball Dances on 27 October (Sunday), after finishing the Festival's competition program.
