* Iskren Lozanov is the winner of the Bulgarian final of the Triumph Inspiration Award 2009 underwear competition
The Bulgarian finalist of the Triumph Inspiration Award underwear competition was elected during an original an exciting fashion show, held in Hilton hotel. The design called Day and night by the winner Iskren Lozanov, student in the second course at the national Academy of Art, was inspired by the genius Pablo Picasso. Iskren Lozanov won a six-months practice at Elle Magazine (Bulgaria) as well as the unique chance to present our country during the world final of the Triumph Inspiration Award 2009 competition, which will be held in September in Milan
The design Carmen by Ina Chokova (second course, bachelor) was ranked second. Miglena Karova (second course, master) was placed third in the national final thanks to her design, inspired by the icon Europe. They both won respectively a four-weeks and a two-weeks practice at the elite Elle Magazine (Bulgaria), which was a media partner of the event along with Ogledala TV show.
A competent jury estimated the talented students: Dora Black-Hempler – general manager of Triumph International Sofia and chairwoman of the jury and members – prof. Lubomir Stoykov – chairman of the Academy for Fashion and lecturer with the National Academy of Art, prof. Maya Bogdanova – designer and lecturer with the National Academy of Art; Maria Georgieva – editor-in-chief of Elle Magazine (Bulgaria); Alexandra Ivanova – author and producer of Ogledala TV show and the famous Bulgarian designer Alia Milousheva, bearer of the Golden Needle 2008 Award.
All the participants in the competition had a very creative approach to the task. The icons, originally interpreted by them, made the public to walk around different epochs and around the symbols and styles peculiar to them. The diversity of topics, the original creative presentation of the designs and the specific performance turned the spectacle into an inspiring experience. The fashion walk started from the mythical antiquity, passed through the time of Claude Monet and Pablo Picasso, the decorative harmony of Alphonse Mucha, the original style of Hundertwasser, the coquette cartoon heroine Betty Boop and reached to the style of the contemporary pop icon Amy Winehouse.
Radiant Radost Draganova was the hostess of the show. Among the VIP guests were Darina Stoyanova – president of Henkel Bulgaria, assoc. prof. Anna Avramova, Iva Shtatz, Katerina Tcaneva – lecturers with the National Academy of Art, Dora Momekova – lecturer with the New Bulgarian University, the TV host from BNT Spas Kiossev, the illusionist Korso, Denis Dimitrova, Ruslana Kaneva as well as tens of representatives of the print and electronic media.

The competition makes an advance in other countries as well. The first country, which has chosen its representative for the world final, is Denmark.
